The mission of the Lancers Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps is to provide lifelong music education and performance opportunities through the medium of drum and bugle corps. The Lancers have been recognized as York County’s Music Ambassadors and have represented the county in prestigious events like the National Apple Blossom Parade in Winchester, VA, the National Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C., and numerous events throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Following the corps participation in “America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration” in Plymouth, MA in November of 2010 along with eight other alumni corps from New England and Pennsylvania, they were welcomed as the newest addition to the alumni drum corps circuit. Since that time they have returned to Plymouth a number of times, and participated in numerous other alumni drum corps shows in Maryland and New Jersey. In 2012, the corps hosted their very first alumni show entitled, “Profiles In Music,” a drum and bugle corps showcase.
